In the Malakakangas wind power project, there are plans to build 11 wind turbines in the Sievi Malakakangas area. An environmental impact assessment has been carried out for the project, for which the contact authority has issued a reasoned conclusion in June 2024. The zoning of the project has progressed with an environmental impact assessment. The zoning process was completed in summer 2025, and the plan is now legally valid.

A construction permit has been granted for eleven wind turbines and a substation, as well as a battery energy storage system (BESS) to be built in connection with the substation.

The project page will be updated as the project progresses.
