A solar power area is planned in Vasama. The production area of the solar power field is 57 hectares, with a total output of the solar panel field of about 45 MWp. Solar plant has been granted a construction permit in the spring of 2023. The construction site is located in Vasamaneva, in the eastern part of the city of Ylivieska.
