The planning of the Vasaman wind park has progressed to wind measurements. Semecon Oy’s partners include Mastacraft, a company based in Ylivieska, responsible for mast erection and earthworks. AFRY is in charge of the measurement equipment and data processing. The measurement campaign was launched at the end of August, with mast erection and installation of measuring equipment completed. The measurements are expected to last for about a year.
The mast was erected entirely using helicopter lifts.
The measurement equipment is installed at the top of the mast at a height of 175 meters.
Wind measurement plays a crucial role in project development. It supports and refines the production analyses already conducted. The results of the measurements are used to create highly detailed production analyses, and wind conditions are compared to the selected turbines. We can now monitor the area’s wind conditions in real-time.
